Project 2: Journal
Environmental issues have become a great concern for mankind at present time as these issues are affecting and will affect earth and us badly. There are quite a number of environmentalists or movement either government or non-governmental trying to improve various environmental crisis in the best way they can. This project intends to encourage us to do their part by producing a journal that reflects these concerns and to part of the change for a better world with our creative thoughts.
My partner and I have created a journal with the theme 'Nature & Us' and two topics 'Nature as Community' and 'Getting Back to Nature or Getting Nature Back?'. After the experience in the nature through the visit to Taman Negara, Pahang (National Park), we aware of the tourism gives more negative impacts on natural environment. And the issue of our planning of built environment in the natural environment. These issues not only occur in Malaysia but globally while tourism industry is sharply increasing in this era. We have written an essay to reflect our opinion of the tourism effect on the environmental impact which we should have concerned and take proactive action until it is too late.
Journal
Learning Outcome
In this project, I have to explored explore the local and global context of growth and therefore realizing the relationship between growth and its impact on the environment. The essential relationship between nature and us has impact on the design of sustainable architecture of our community in natural environment. I realized that we should always understand and consider the environmental impact in architecture planning and environment design and create environment sustainable design for both (nature and us) benefits.
