Shelter for One
Project 1: Skeletal Construction “A Shelter For One”
This project required us, a group of five to build a 1: 1 scale shelter for a person and a report about the understanding of skeletal structure reacts under loading and its relevant structural components for experiencing and understanding skeletal construction.

Learning Outcome
It is important to experience and understand skeletal construction as it is one of the most commonly used structures for building support. In this project, I have learned about the application and recognize the implication of construction system in design. I have also learned to analyse issues of strength, stiffness and stability of structures including modes of structural systems, forces, stress and strain and laws of static through the process of the project. Team work and time management are also essential to complete this project in order to produce a successful shelter.
